What: It's called an Organ Crawl, this one led by Aidan Christensen. Pipe Organs are a complex instrument. With good reason the are known as the king of instruments. It is a mechanical, pneumatic, and musical masterpiece. See how it works; listen to the variety of individual sounds; learn how the musician blends and creates crescendos.  It is a fascinating convergence between science and music.

WHERE: Sioux Falls Safety Campus

We are scheduled for a tour of the Sioux Falls Safety Campus. The tour is approximately one hour. It will be a walking tour, mostly outside, so dress appropriately for October weather. After the tour, travel straight west to Minnesota Avenue and south to Crack’d Pot Restaurant on north Minnesota Avenue for lunch. (1430 N Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57104)  Lunch is “Dutch Treat”.

They only conduct tours on the first and third Thursdays. Tour time is 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., or 1:00 p.m. We will tour at 11:00 a.m. To get to the campus, travel north on Minnesota Avenue or Cliff Avenue to East 60th Street. You can go east past I-229 for a couple of miles. It is located on the north side of the road. Famous last words: “You can’t miss it.”  4400 East 60th St N, Sioux Falls, SD 57104
