Serve Banquet West Location

The Banquet meal ministry was founded in 1985 starting with just one meal per week. They now serve 13 meals per week at two locations. The Banquet is a volunteer-based ministry, which means the meals are paid for, prepared by, and served by volunteer groups who come from Sioux Falls and the surrounding area.

In 2017 The Banquet served 196,000 meals, and at least 25,000 of those meals were served to children under 12. We go through approximately 15,000 gallons of milk each year.

Pioneer Woman Bus Tour

Deadline to register extended to September 15!

Calling all foodies. Do you collect or read cookbooks like a good novel? Do you binge watch hours of cooking shows? Is your idea of a romantic date night a cooking class for two? Do you get kitchen equipment for Christmas or birthdays? If you like to experiment with food like an artist plays with color then this trip may be for you. We are planning a charter tour to Pawhuska Oklahoma, home of Ree Drummond the Pioneer Woman. We will take a lodge tour where she films her cooking show, you can eat at the bakery, the Merc, or P-town Pizza and her new ice cream and sweet shop. Explore other little shops and restaurants while we are in the area. We will tour all that Osage County has to offer. The bus leaves 8 a.m. October 10th from First United Methodist parking lot on Spring Ave and return Sunday October 13th. For more information regarding the tour email Mike McConniel at The cost of the trip is $500 for single occupancy so bring your friends and save. The more the merrier I always say.

Late breaking news:

Mike and I were hunting for a place to grab a late lunch on Thursday and decided we stop in Topeka for some Kansas barbecue.  It is not half way but pretty close.  We will have goodies and a cooler or two on the bus for water and sodas etc.  Sounds like Friday will be a run around  Pawhuska day so shop and eat day and Saturday will be the lodge tour and some other sights in Osage county. Sunday will head back in the am stopping again in Topeka and then should be home around 6 or 7 Sunday night all being fair and equal.  Her new cookbook comes out in October while we are down there so maybe she will still be in town when it is released
