Week 1- Date: 10/12/25

Sermon Title: Trust Comes When It Feels Impossible

Text: 1 Kings 17:7-16 (NRSVUE)

Key Person: The Widow of Zarephath

Focus: Ever been at the end of your rope, asking, “God, how will I make it?” That’s where the widow in 1 Kings was—down to her last meal. Then Elijah asked her to give it away. Fear would’ve been natural. But she trusted God’s promise, gave what little she had, and a miracle followed—her flour and oil never ran out. Scarcity doesn’t get the last word! Generosity creates space for God to provide in ways we can’t yet see, and it starts with trust.

Week 2- Date: 10/19/25

Sermon Title: Everything You Need You Already Have

Text: John 6:1-14 (NRSVUE)

Key Person: Boy and his lunch

Focus: Ever looked at what you have and thought, “It’s not enough?” That’s how the disciples felt—facing a hungry crowd with just five loaves and two fish. But when Jesus blessed that small gift, it became more than enough. God doesn’t ask for what you don’t have—only what’s in your hands. The boy’s simple offering sparked a miracle. Generosity is not about the size of the gift—even the smallest of offerings will have the greatest impact when entrusted it to God.

Key People: Ruth, Naomi, & Boaz

Focus: Generosity rooted in kindness and justice creates ripples of hope that can restore lives and transform generations. Ruth’s story began in loss, but her selfless care sparked redemption. Generosity doesn’t just meet needs—it brings healing and builds a future filled with hope.

Week 4- Date: 11/2/25

Sermon Title: “Live Generously”

Text: Luke 12:13-21; 34 (NRSVUE)

Key People: The Early Church

Focus: Imagine a community where no one goes hungry or feels alone, that was the early church. They gave not just what was extra, but everything they had. Their generosity met needs, built unity, and drew others in. Because generosity doesn’t just share resources—it creates belonging and builds a community where all can thrive.
