Pastor Bob Ruedebusch
I came to be the Lead pastor here at First UMC in July 2012. I have been in ministry for over 40 years in a variety of settings from a Youth Pastor, 2-Point charge, Suburban congregation, District Superintendent and now in my present appointment a downtown faith community! I love people!!! My Strength finder areas of strength are 1) Woo 2) Empathy 3) Strategic. My favorite things in life are my wife, Paula and my children Katie, Megan and John. I love the St Louis Cardinals Baseball (fan for over 50 years), most all sports, all kinds of music, preaching, and being with all of God’s people. My favorite food is a great roast beef dinner! I am truly blessed by God and loving life!

Pastor Taylor Johnson, "The Light" Worship Leader
Scripture has a lot to say about light. From God commanding light into existence to that very light breaking through darkness, light is prevalent in our story as people of God. Jesus says to us, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me won’t walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” Our vision at The Light is to point people to the TRUE Light. The service is a place for people to be introduced and reintroduced to faith in an accessible, yet challenging way. While the music is modern, we are deeply rooted in worship of the God who creates, redeems, and sustains. Come, experience the work of the Holy Spirit in the world and in your life, and don’t be afraid to come into The Light.
