Fall at First Church

Fall is just around the corner and First church has new discipleship and service and fellowship opportunities that you can participate in as we continue to be a ‘sanctuary of Christian hope, love and encouragement here in the heart of Sioux Falls.’

Discipleship opportunities are:

Kids Connection begins September 8th at both the 9:45 and 11 a.m. service.  Please sign your kids up at the information center so we can be sure and have supplies ready for everyone.

Youth begin Sunday School September 8th also.  They meet at 9 and 10 a.m. downstairs in the youth rooms.

Wednesday evening Ignite kicks off September 11th. There’s something for everyone on Wednesday evenings this year.  I want to say a huge thank you to Lana White and her team for serving dinner these last few years.  Now we need you to step up and volunteer to serve 1,2,3 or even 4 times a month so we continue to serve dinner to everyone. You can sign up at the information center.

Did you know that the Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, TriValley, and Chester school districts are all represented here?! We want to celebrate this by displaying your school banners, pennants, fliers, t-shirts, whatever you may have, on the walls for everyone to see.  Bring your donated items to the church office.

Adult study groups begin Sept 16th to follow along with the Sermon series “Burning Bush 2.0” Join us as we discern our own calling.  Stop by the information center and let us know your preferred time so we can be sure there is a group for you.

A women’s bible study meets every Wednesday morning. They’ll be studying the book of Romans this year.

We have 2 men’s bible studies.  AMen’s meets the 1st & 3rd Thursday mornings, and Higgins meets the 2nd and 4th Tuesday mornings.
