SPRING 2010

Activities may change or be added to this list.  Check website and weekly bulletins for updates.

Sept-May

•Middle School Open Gym

Wed. 6-6:30 pm

•Middle School Choir

Wed. 6-6:30 pm

•Middle School Youth Group

Wed. 6:30-7:30 pm

•Senior High Open Gym

Wed. 7:30-8:00 pm

•Senior High Youth Group

Wed. 8:00-9:00 pm

 

MAY.

May 7 - Confirmation banquet at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

May 8 - Confirmation Sunday.  Pictures at 10 am in the sanctuary and confirmation during the 11 am service.

May 11 - Neighborhood service project/clean up.  (Flower Shower).  All Youth together with parents 6:30-8:00 pm.

May 15 - Senior Recognition Sunday. Special prayers will be lifted up at 9:05 and 11:00 am worship services.  Families are invited to eat together at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall and students will have a chance to sign the wall in the Youth Room!  Bring your favorite Bible verse or quote and leave your lasting impression.

May 18 - Last Wednesday of regular youth group.  ROAD TRIP to Garretson for picnic at Cleveringa's.  Details to come!

May 22 - Last day of Sunday School for all.  Parent meetings - 8:30-9:00 am for students going into 8th grade in the fall in the Chapel.  10:00-11:00 am for parents of students in 9-12th grade in the fall in the Chapel.

May 23-30 - ENGAGE HAITI!  Mission trip to Haiti.

JUNE

June 12-16 - VBS, volunteer with Mary Jane - Children's Ministry.

June 12-17 - Mark & Lisa lead whitewater rafting UMC Camp.  Sign up by May 5 for discounts.

JULY

July 5-10 - ENGAGE Kansas City - Mission Trip!

Our Teaching goal with youth ministry is:  that our youth will know Jesus (cognitive), will desire to follow Jesus (affective) and will be the good news of Jesus (behavoiral).
