ARGUS AND RADIO SPONSORSHIPS — The 2012 sign-up sheet is available outside Room 204. Radio sponsorships are $98 and the Argus Sponsorships are $70. This is your opportunity to select just the right date to celebrate a special occasion or to honor or memorialize a friend or a loved one.
WE WELCOME THE HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH CHOIR as they join the Chancel Choir in our music ministry Sunday at the 11 a.m. service. The First United Methodist Church Chancel Choir will participate in the 9:30 a.m. service Sunday at Holy Cross Lutheran. Be sure to greet them and thank them for participating in our service. The Holy Cross Lutheran Church Choir is directed by Rachael Fode.
SOUPER BOWL SUNDAY IS HERE! — Whether the Patriots or the Giants come out on top today, Kids Against Hunger of Sioux Falls will be the winner! On January 18, 42 youth and leaders participated in the assembly and packing of 3,456 meals. Today’s special offering will go toward this organization and the food we prepared. Kids Against Hunger then distributes this food to hungry people in places like Haiti and beyond. Please support this worthy mission with your generous donation today!
PLEASE JOIN US FOR SUPPER ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8, from 5-6:15 p.m. in the Round Table Dining Room. We will have spaghetti and meat sauce, tossed salad, garlic bread, dessert, coffee, milk and water. A donation will be taken to cover the cost of the meal. We invite you to come for the fellowship and one less night to cook at home. We will not have Wednesday night supper on February 15.

SCOUTING SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 — We will recognize Girl and Boy Scouts on this Sunday. We would like to have Scouts and their adult leaders assist with the worship services that day. PARENTS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN (UP TO AGE 3) — We want you to be able to enjoy your worship experience. Our nursery staff is available to help. The nursery is located on the main level near the kitchen and is available from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and staffed by loving adults.

2012 BUS TRIP UPDATES
BUS MINISTRY: Twin Cities announced as Spring Trip destination, May 4-6
Sign up now for the Old Towne Dinner Theater in Worthing production of “The Curious Savage” on Friday, February 24 at 5 p.m. The cost is $40 per person. We will car pool to the show. Please sign up in the office and include the phone number of each person attending. Payment is due by February 16.
The Opland Singers spring concert in Pipestone is set for Saturday night, April 14. This time we will be eating at The Glass House restaurant in Ihlen, Minn. The cost is $46 per person. Sign up in the church office. Please provide a phone number for each person attending. Payment is appreciated at time of registration.
A lot of people have been asking when they can sign up for our Twins Trip. Sign up starts on Sunday, February 5. We will be going to see the Twins play Milwaukee on Sunday, June 17, at 1 p.m. It is Father’s Day so think about taking your family members! The trip will be $76 per person. This year we are asking for a $10 deposit per person. Please provide a phone number for each person who is registered.
We are excited to announce that our Spring Trip is here! On May 4-6, we will be going to the Twin Cities.
We will visit Bachman’s main store, tour their gardens, shops, and eat lunch at the cafe.
That evening we will attend the dinner theater, “A Mighty Fortress In Our Church Basement” and stay in Roseville.
On Saturday morning, we will tour Cathedral of St. Paul and tour the Wabasha Street Caves and have a St. Paul Gangster tour. We will then have dinner and attend a magic show at the Jewel Theater in St. Paul.
On Sunday morning we will attend church at a United Methodist Church in the Metropolitan area and then tour the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
The cost of the trip is $425 per person for a double, $390 per person for a triple, $372 per person for a quad, and $530 for a single. There are two breakfasts, three lunches, and two dinners included in the price of the tour.
