Busy, busy day!

Happy Saturday, Everyone! It’s been a busy, busy day!

We kicked off today with worship! Bishop Eben Nhiwatiwa gave a passionate message urging unity among the church saying: “United Methodists, it’s time to stop arguing!”

After worship, the plenary session focused on receiving nominations for the University Senate. One of the responsibilities of the University Senate is to serve as the body that endorses seminaries worldwide as places for United Methodists to study. The plenary session also received nominations for individuals to serve on the Judicial Council.

In addition, Beata Ferris and I were nominated and elected to serve on the Interjurisdictional Committee on Episcopacy on behalf of the Dakotas Conference. We are honored to serve!

After the morning plenary session, legislative committees met for the remainder of today.

Since tomorrow is Sunday, we will have no formal gatherings to enjoy a day for Sabbath!

Below is a picture of Beata and I hanging out with John, Charles, and Susanna Wesley.
